The L89 was very rare, it was the same engine as the L71, except the L89 was optioned with aluminum cylinder heads, saving the vehicle 80 lbs vs. L71 cast iron heads. This particular example is very rare as it is "Unrestored" and certified by its "Bloomington Gold Benchmark" status; this means the car is a recipient of a "Bloomington Gold- Gold Certification" and a "Bloomington Gold Survivor" award. This car has the "Original-Born With" motor and driveline.
